🌹An Opening…
Since childhood, I’ve viewed the world with the discerning eyes of a writer. This translates to an acute awareness—an ability to perceive every detail and feel every emotion fully. It’s also where my insatiable desire to understand began. To leave no stone unturned in the search for meaning, for connection, for truth.
Living with a writer’s gaze means more than observation. It’s a practice of presence. A commitment to paying attention without judgment. It asks me to remain grounded in the moment, to resist distraction, and to listen to the world beyond the surface of things.
Through creative writing, I’ve learned how to hold space for all things—for the mundane and the sublime, the earthly and the hellish, the prosaic and the divine. But I don’t stop at those opposites. My writing seeks the spaces in between and beyond: the invisible, the unknown, the fluid, the complex. I write not to choose sides, but to dissolve the sides altogether.
Reveries in Red is not just a collection of poems—it’s a place of radical witnessing. A home for everything we’re told to keep separate. A palette where black and white give way to red: the color of danger, sacrifice, courage, passion, heat, sensuality, and love. Red is not a midpoint. It is an ungoverned spectrum.
To document the present is to help construct a future. And in all its forms, poetry is what carries us there.
See you soon.
Every truly,
Red
